Kebonarum is one of the names of a sub-district in Klaten Regency, Central Java Province. Kebonarum District consists of 7 villages / kelurahan namely: Basin, Gondang, Karangduren, Malangjiwan, Menden, Ngrundul and Pluneng. Kebonarum District has an area of about 9.66 km² with a population density of 1,805 per km²
Kebonarum District Office is located in Pluneng Village. Kebonarum District has a Puskesmas and Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) which is also located in Pluneng village. Kebonarum District has kodepos 57481. Kebonarum District has a post office located in the Basin village. Tourism potential in Kebonarum District includes Umbul Tirtomulyono Pluneng, Umbul Tirtomulyoni Pluneng, Umbul Brintik Malangjiwan, Umbul Brondong Ngrundul , Gondang Sugar Factory Museum, etc.
There are Selter in Menden village that can accommodate refugees when Mount Merapi erupts and has entered the alert level and the community is required to go down (evacuate). Kebonarum Subdistrict has a field, one of which is the sosrobahu basin field which is often used for various events such as takbir competition, Eid al-Fitr prayer and Eid al-Adha prayer, etc.
Kebonarum Subdistrict is bordered by Karangnongko Subdistrict in the north, Klaten Selatan Subdistrict in the east, South borders with Jogonalan Subdistrict and South Klaten Subdistrict, and in the west borders Karangnongko District and Jogonalan District.
