Boyolali is one of the names of a district in Central Java Province. The administrative center located in Boyolali Regency is located in Kemiri and Mojosongo. Boyolali Regency in the north is bordered by Salatiga City, Semarang Regency and Grobogan Regency; in the east it is bordered by Karanganyar Regency, Sragen Regency, Surakarta City (Solo) and Sukoharjo Regency; in the south bordering the Special Region of Yogyakarta and the Regency of Klaten; and in the west it borders Semarang Regency and Magelang Regency. Boyolali Regency is included in the Solo Raya area.
Boyolali Regency has a motto: Boyolali Smiling stands for Orderly, Elegant, Neat, Healthy, Comfortable for Society and has the nickname of Cow City, Nieuw Zeeland van Java and City of Milk. The inauguration date is June 5 with an area of 1,015.10 km² and has a telephone area code of 0276. The official flora of Boyolali Regency is a rose pager while the official fauna is a local cow.
Boyolali Regency has 19 sub-districts and 260 villages and 7 sub-districts with a central government located in Boyolali sub-district.

And no less interesting than Boyolali Regency is that it has many tourist attractions including the Kedung Kayang Waterfall, Badhe Reservoir, Cengklik Reservoir, Kedung Ombo Reservoir, Sidorejo Reservoir, Mount Merapi, Merbabu Mountain, Tlatar Umbul and Umbul Pengging Bathing.
